Solutions such as AccuRoute that provide integration with document management systems like ProLaw are an essential technology for firm’s document-processing needs.

Omtool, Ltd. (OMTL.PK), the trusted provider for document process automation solutions, today announced its new integration into the ProLaw software suite, built around Omtool’s AccuRoute document process automation platform.

With over 20 years of leadership in document-related technologies, this announcement further demonstrates the company's commitment to streamline document-intensive processes with cost-effective and efficient solutions for companies of all sizes.

“Document capture has become an increasingly mission-critical infrastructure requirement for the largest of law firms, worldwide. As this technology demand moves to the mainstream and is adopted by small and medium-sized law firms, document capture solutions such as AccuRoute that provide integration with document management systems like ProLaw are an essential technology for firm’s document-processing needs,” said Thaddeus Bouchard, CTO, Omtool.

Omtool AccuRoute Extensions for ProLaw provide users a quick and easy way to import hardcopy documents into ProLaw. Now, users are able to import their critical hardcopy documents, such as contracts, wills, leasing agreements, or any other legal binding paper-based document directly into ProLaw using a single scan.

Users are able to drive this process from within the native ProLaw user interface they are already familiar with while using the extended capture capabilities of AccuRoute. The Omtool solution prompts the user to make their document decisions in ProLaw before scanning begins. Once imported, the scanned or electronic document is processed through AccuRoute and uploaded to the ProLaw database with the instructions and metadata previously determined. Using AccuRoute Extensions for ProLaw, users will now be able to view their documents as a new “Event” within the selected “Matter,” fully profiled and stored alongside other electronic content. Omtool AccuRoute Extensions for ProLaw make the experience of importing paper documents as easy as electronic documents.

Omtool will demonstrate its new integration with ProLaw and Omtool’s complete suite of legal solutions in Omtool booth #702, during the 2012 Annual ALA Conference and Exhibition in Hawaii.
