The much-anticipated Elks Aidmore Music Festival is less than two weeks away and festival organizers announced today that in addition to the main line-up of Blues and Jazz musicians, Ken Ford; Claudette King; Big Robert T; Will Culbreath featuring Jazzmatic; Tampa Blue; and PanaSonics Steel Band—three additional bands— Jonathan Kilgore; Frets on Fire and Son Jazzy Latin Orchestra have been added from the Starbucks 60 Days to Elks Aidmore Music Festival showcases. A final band will be announced April 23!
Comedian Malachi Blaque is scheduled to host and will be joined by other personalities throughout the day.
Drawing fans from all across Georgia, organizers are hoping to establish the Elks Aidmore Music Festival as a late April festival destination for Blues and Jazz music fans. Scheduled as a one day music festival, the first band will take the stage at 2 pm and the headliner, Ken Ford is scheduled to perform at 9 pm.
“We are encouraging festival goers to purchase tickets early to save $5 and to avoid lines on the day of the event,” said Dawn Butler, Development Director. The music festival’s primary goals are to raise awareness about the challenges and opportunities of children in foster care, while raising funds to support programmatic activities. “We are looking forward to a great day of music while adding value to Conyers’ economy,” said Abe Wilkinson, CEO.
Elks Aidmore Music Festival will take place at the Georgia International Horse Park, 1996 Centennial Olympic Parkway, Conyers, GA 30013.
