Brightline Interactive, a leader in creative and digital activations, is excited to announce the debut of three touchscreens and an interactive mobile device at the 2012 Sports Illustrated (SI) at the Majors. The experience, which follows golf’s major tournaments, is created for SI and contracted through Team Epic.
The experience culminates in two parts: a series of three touchscreen coverflows featuring iconic SI covers of golfers and sponsor-related content, and “SI at the Majors Presented by Southwest.com Trivia Challenge,” a game developed for use on an iPad.
There are three touchscreens as part of this experience. The first touchscreen, sponsored by Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Program, consists of a coverflow of iconic SI covers and a link to sign up to the airline’s loyalty program. The second depicts a series of Greg Norman photos in addition to a link to his clothing line for Macy’s and personalized tips from the pro golfer. A third touchscreen, sponsored by Myrtle Beach, features photos of professional golfer Blair O’Neal on the cover of SI, as well as interior shots, and a link to a Myrtle Beach Sweepstakes and website.
The SI at the Majors Presented by Southwest.com Trivia Challenge tests users on golf trivia regarding the courses at which the experience will be displayed, and is a multi-player mobile application developed for use on iPad.
