Nationally Recognized Multisport Coach Paul Kinney Teams with the Leisure Sports Family of Fitness Clubs

Multisport coach, Paul Kinney will work with members of ClubSport, Renaissance ClubSport, and The Studio to compete in half and full Ironman distance events. Racing in The Big Kahuna Triathlon in Santa Cruz, CA will be the first targeted event.

Leisure Sports Inc. announced today that Coach Paul Kinney of Kinney Multisport will coach members of ClubSport, Renaissance ClubSport, and The Studio to compete in half and full Ironman distance events.

As a USA Triathlon, USA Cycling, and Team in Training certified coach, Kinney has trained more than 500 triathletes, duathletes, cyclists, and runners. He has coached athletes training for half and full Ironman distance triathlons in the San Francisco Bay Area and around the globe since 2001.

Kinney will be coaching members of Leisure Sports-owned fitness clubs to participate in the Big Kahuna Triathlon in Santa Cruz, CA this September. The event consists of a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike, and a 13.1-mile run. Paul will create individualized training programs and provide coaching at preferred rates.

Paul’s customized programs maximize an athlete's available time and eliminate unproductive workouts. His approach will help athletes progress faster, with fewer injuries, to accomplish something great.”

Kinney's personal racing experience is widely varied and includes triathlons, ranging in distance from sprint to full Ironman races, off-road triathlons, duathlons, and century rides. He is a four-time Ironman finisher with a PR of 10:47 and four-time Death Ride finisher. Other notable accomplishments include: overall and age group wins and podium finishes at Tinley's Adventures 2005-2007; fastest M35-39 bike split at Wildflower Olympic 2009; and numerous top 10 age group finishes at races such as Wildflower, Pacific Grove, Vineman's Showdown, and Tinley's Triathlons.
