Contractors, consultants and government personnel who want to expand their understanding of EVMS, as both a contractual requirement and a best practice, to become more effective project managers.

An expert speaking at an upcoming webinar hosted by L2 Federal Resources will provide an primer for understanding earned value management systems in government contracts for people who already have a basic understanding of EVMS.

Government agencies increasingly require a validated Earned Value Management System (EVMS), which creates a new set of challenges for government contractors. Many contractors struggle to get their EVMS validated by a “cognizant federal agency” and wrestle with organizational and regulatory changes affecting EVMS systems.

In this 90 minute webinar, Mike Nosbisch will discuss relevant regulations as well as the best ways to implement and validate EVM systems and make the process more efficient. Mr. Nosbisch will offer his expertise as both a consultant and contractor to examine some of the more advanced concepts related to the application of earned value management systems (EVMS) within government contracting.

The 90-minute webinar, entitled “Advanced Earned Value Management Systems in Government Contracting" is scheduled for Thursday, May 3, at 1:00 PM Eastern.

He has worked for some of the largest EPC contractors in the country, including URS Corporation, Jacobs Engineering, Kiewit, and was Vice President of Project Controls for Parsons Corporation’s government business unit.

Mr. Nosbisch is formerly Vice President of Earned Value Management for SM&A where he was responsible for managing the consulting firm’s EVM Compliance & Consulting practice. In that capacity, he supported several large government contractors both within the aerospace and defense (A&D) and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) industries.

Mr. Nosbisch is a nationally known presenter and trainer, focusing on EVM as well as the entire spectrum of project controls. He is currently the President of AACE International, the recognized association for project controls professionals worldwide. Mike is also an active member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), the National Defense Association (NDIA) and the Energy Facility Contractors Group (EFCOG).

Following his presentation, there will be an interactive 10-to-15 minute question-and-answer session addressing material covered in the webinar.

Webinar tuition is based on location, not number of participants, so each registration site can have multiple participants for one low price.
