A newly published study states that alcohol abuse causes the production of toxins from the bacteria in the intestine resulting in oxidative stress and inflammation, which lead to the development and progression of Alcoholic Liver Disease. One biological response to reduce the expression of CYP 2E1 is "amazingly" achieved through the induction of an inflammatory agent (TNF-Alpha), which by itself offers a host of other health problems, if it becomes chronic.
