Athletic Revolution and Fitness Revolution, two fitness franchises belonging to parent company Fitness Consulting Group, have launched a nationwide charity campaign called “Revolution for a Cause.” The charity drive is currently underway and will run through June 30.

Revolution for a Cause is a national charity drive bringing together the efforts of different Athletic Revolution and Fitness Revolution franchisees from across the country.

The campaign is organized so that each individual franchisee chooses a charity of their preference and hosts a local charity drive in their community. The goal is that the various franchisees could raise a total of $50,000 when their efforts are combined.

While franchisees are not obligated to participate, their participation is strongly encouraged. “Well, most importantly, this national charity drive is a way for franchisees to give back to the communities that have allowed them to thrive,” says Pat Rigsby, the co-owner of Athletic and Fitness Revolution’s parent company Fitness Consulting Group.

“Of course, the franchisees have many reasons for having their fitness franchise participate in the drive,” Rigsby explains. “For one, charity drives and fundraisers are a great way to raise a business’s profile within its community. It shows a great level of dedication.”

Naturally, the focus of the campaign is on helping out those in need. “It’s up to franchisees to pick a cause that matters to them,” Rigsby says. “There are a lot of people out there in need, and we have the tools to help them because we care.”

Rigsby notes that he offered suggestions to franchisees, including the V Foundation for cancer research, the American Red Cross, the Boys and Girls Club, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

“When it comes down to it, though,” Rigsby says, “the important thing is finding a cause that you are passionate about so that your passion can extend throughout your business and to your clients.”

To ensure successful charity campaigns, Rigsby has laid out a strategy for franchisees to follow: pick a charity that they are passionate about, set a goal, publicize the event, and raise the funds.

Whatever charity franchisees choose, the goal nationally is to raise $50,000 in total for the assorted organizations. To encourage this, franchisees are being offered awards as incentive for reaching dollar benchmarks.

For most franchisees, however, simply helping out those in need and bolstering their communities is award enough.

Founded in December of 2010, Fitness Revolution has expanded to over 100 different franchises and had been registered in over 40 different states. Franchises have been founded in California, Oregon, and New Hampshire.
