We started our business a decade ago making boots that could withstand the demanding conditions on the farm. We’re proud to continue supporting these hard-working men and women with our footwear.

Bogs Footwear (http://www.BogsFootwear.com) will celebrate Earth Day one day early with GrowNYC’s Greenmarket, which operates some of the most bustling farmers markets in the country. This is the fourth stop on the “Bogs Hearts Local Farmers” tour through some of the most beloved farmers markets in the country.
Bogs is proud to support Greenmarket’s regional farmers with footwear that works (almost) as hard as they do. More than 50 farms and GrowNYC staff received free Bogs footwear to wear while connecting New Yorkers with their fresh, local, seasonal bounty.
“Touring some of the busiest farmers markets in the country this spring has really opened our eyes to the passion and dedication local farmers bring to their jobs 24/7, 365 days a year,” said Bill Combs, president and founder of Bogs footwear. “We started our business a decade ago making boots that could withstand the demanding conditions on the farm. We’re proud to continue supporting these hard-working men and women with our footwear.”
As part of this spring’s “Bogs Hearts Local Farmers” tour, Bogs has been supporting local farmers throughout the country, including the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market in San Francisco, the University District Farmers Market in Seattle and the Portland Farmers Market at Portland State University in Bogs’ hometown of Portland, Ore. To date, the company has donated more than $27,000 worth of its signature waterproof, insulated footwear made of natural, durable hand-lasted rubber to local farmers in each city.
Bogs is proud to continue the effort to support local farmers by teaming up with Greenmarket organizers GrowNYC, a hands-on non-profit which improves New York City’s quality of life through environmental programs that transform communities block by block and empower all New Yorkers to secure a clean and healthy environment for future generations.
On Saturday, April 21, 2012, select Greenmarket farmers will be sporting popular Bogs styles like the Classic Mid – an insulated, 100% waterproof boot designed specifically to keep farmers’ feet warm, dry and comfortable in some of the most uncomfortable working conditions in the world.
Since 2002, Bogs has been making warm, waterproof and comfortable all-weather boots for people who work (or play) in the most uncomfortable conditions. With more than 40 years of experience in the shoe industry, Bogs offers durable footwear made with high-quality materials for the men’s, women’s and kids’ outdoor, casual, industrial, hunting and agricultural industries.
