2012 will be the best year since the dot-com era for M&A in software and IT
(PRWEB UK) 26 April 2012
The world's most up-to-date executive Tech M&A seminar is coming to Dublin on 17 May. The Merge Briefing conference comes during what is predicted to be a “banner year” for tech M&A for software, IT, internet and related technology companies.
“2012 has a perfect storm of trends in disruptive technology, industry consolidation, new buyers, and record cash reserves held by major technology companies, all of which will make it best year since the dot-com era for M&A in software, Internet, IT and related technologies,” said Corum Regional Director John Melotte. “Company owners and investors in and around Dublin who want to take advantage of these trends need to act and their first move should be getting educated.”
The Merge Briefing is a 90-minute executive briefing providing a current M&A market update, including trends, valuations and more, as well as a brief overview of the tech M&A process: "8 Steps to an Optimal Outcome."
“Most self-managed M&A efforts will be unsuccessful, draining valuable resources at best, and ending in complete disaster at worst,” notes Melotte. “Your first merger is not a time for on-the-job training, so it’s worth it to spend just these 90 minutes learning about the process.”
Melotte, who will lead the seminar, has over 30 years of executive and entrepreneurial technology experience: founding and funding, selling and buying private software and related technology companies.
When: Thurs., 17 May, 8.30–10.30 a.m., registration at 8.00 a.m.
Location: Central Dublin (please check our website: http://www.corumgroup.com/EventDetails.aspx?id=338 )
