Our customer acquisitions are up 400 percent from last year, and several of these are proving to be heavy hitters.

R2 Logistics, Inc., a third party logistics service provider, has released its growth results for the first quarter of 2012. Data gathered for these results cover the company and its individual operating branches’ year over year annual growth percentage. Figures shown represent four major key indicators: revenue, gross profit, operating percentage and total number of loads.

On a company level, R2 reports a hike in revenue of forty-eight percent. Gross profit rose along with this number and finished at a rate of forty-two percent. Contributing to this growth is the escalation in total number of loads which jumped by sixty percent. The only key indicator to falter for the company was the operating percentage which dropped by four percent.

R2 Logistics
Revenue: 48%
Gross Profit: 42%
Net Income: 28%
Operating Percentage: -4%
Loads: 60%

“These numbers are very average for us,” stated Ben Gase, R2 Logistics’ CEO and President. “I can’t negate the fact that we did very well as a company, but the numbers show us if we plan to reach our goal of 100 percent year over year growth there’s a lot of room for improvement.”

The growth results for R2 Logistics’ branches are as follows:

Columbus, OH
Revenue: 84%
Gross Profit: 98%
Operating Percentage: 7%
Loads: 94%

Detroit, MI
Revenue: 2%
Gross Profit: -12%
Operating Percentage: 14%
Loads: 21%

Jacksonville, FL
Revenue: 94%
Gross Profit: 132%
Operating Percentage: 20%
Loads: 79%

“We’re trending for further growth in the coming quarter,” added Gase. “Our customer acquisitions are up 400 percent from last year, and several of these are proving to be heavy hitters. Plus, with the addition of another operations branch opening in Dallas in the coming months, we expect our numbers to grow exponentially and help us hit our goal.”

Notable new customers that were acquired during the first quarter included:

Ice River Springs Water – Supplier of purified and distilled water.
KapStone Paper and Packaging – Producer of kraft paper, linerboard and saturating kraft paper.
R.R. Donnelley – Company that develops custom communications solutions.
Reckitt Benckiser – World’s largest producer of household cleaning products and a major     producer of consumer healthcare and personal products.
Seventh Generation – Nation’s leading brand of household and personal care products that help     protect human health and the environment.
