The webinar is open to veterans, active duty, reservists and retired members of the U.S. Military, and those supporting veterans, including Veteran Service Officers, spouses and family members. The web forum will offer valuable expertise from a group of respected employment professionals. Taking part in this 3rd DVNF Veterans Employment Webinar are; Ted Daywalt, President of VetJobs.com, Jeff Klare, CEO of Hire Disability Solutions and Diane Hudson-Burns, Co-author of The New Senior Executive Service Application. Hudson-Burns is also a career marketing coach.
“We urge all veterans and their families to join us and our employment experts on May 16th,” said Raegan Rivers, Chief Administrative Officer of DVNF. “We at DVNF know there are close to 900,000 unemployed veterans in the U.S. and most of them want to work. The unemployment rate for veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan is higher than 12% and the percentage is even higher than that for veterans coming home with physical or emotional impairment due to their service for our nation.”
DVNF also recently launched Employment and Career Assistance Services to help disabled and underserved veterans access job benefits created by the VOW to Hire Heroes Act that was recently signed into law by President Obama. The webinar is open for any active duty or retired U.S. Military of Reservists. The webinar will last approximately 1 hour and will allow time at the end for the attendees to submit questions to the panel of speakers.
