Warren County Community College (WCCC) now offers certificate courses in partnership with Intellimins https://www.intellimins.com/. Intellimins is a cloud-based learning platform featuring customizable, turn-key programs for community colleges, as well as business and government organizations.
“The Intellimins Certificate Courses bring proven, tactical business tools and skills that students can learn quickly and share at their very next meeting,” stated Maija Amaro, Workforce and Industry Training Specialist at WCCC. “Putting these tools into action can create a competitive advantage for professionals in our area,” continued Amaro.
The WCCC Summer Catalog features four Intellimins Certificate Courses:
- Management Foundations ToolKit
- Project Management Foundations ToolKit
- Business Process Management Foundations ToolKit
- Agile Critical Thinking Skills ToolKit.
Each of the courses are formatted to deliver high value, actionable content that can be put into immediately use in the workplace. For example, those looking to improve their managerial skills would benefit from the Management Foundations ToolKit Certificate Course. The course curriculum includes 25 video segments, in the three to six minute “snack-size” format. Accompanying the video lessons are downloadable, ready-to-use tools, templates and exercises provided in Microsoft Office formats. Students can put these templates into immediate use in the workplace and be assured that they are using proven tools and techniques.
All of the Intellimins Certificate Courses are delivered by industry experts. For instance, many of the solutions in the Management Foundations ToolKit feature Vince Arecchi, of Time to Change, a New Jersey based consulting firm. Vince has been an Organization Effectiveness Practitioner for more than 30 years focusing on people development initiatives. In this sample video, Vince gives practical advice on how to give feedback without confrontation.
Students can personalize their learning experience in a number of ways. Within each Intellimins course there are a variety of module choices, so students can pick the topics that are most pertinent to their role. The downloadable templates can be customized for the individual’s work situation. Students can learn at their own convenience and pace as lessons are available 24/7 from PC’s, tablets and smartphones, and can be reviewed on demand. WCCC plans to expand the number of Intellimins Certificate Courses in the Fall 2012 Catalog.
“We are delighted to bring our expert-based certificate courses to Warren County Community College.
