The Third Annual Kickball 4 The Kids Tournament (K4TK), presented by the Active 20/30 Club of Albuquerque and sponsored by CenturyLink. The Kickball 4 The Kids Tournament the fourth event of The Circuit, the only national, professional tour of top-flight, competitive kickball tournaments. K4TK will attract teams from across the United States for an all-day, competitive kickball tournament, with all proceeds going towards children charities in the greater Albuquerque Area, including Playworks NM and the For the Kids Fund and their "For The Kids Projects."

“The Kickball 4 The Kids Tournament is one of our largest tournaments all year,” said Matthew Kemph, Founder/CEO of Kickball365. “It has a unique format that makes it a great event for both competitive and casual kickball players, and it raises a lot of money for some really great causes in the Albuquerque area. We are very happy to introduce The K4TK tournament as a Circuit event this year. It was an easy decision for us to add this esteemed tournament since Louis Griego, Drew Johnson and the rest of the K4TK management team do such an excellent job with this tournament every year.”

The tournament already has 34 teams registered, and will draw more than 500 players from across the United States. K4TK features pool play for all teams registered and then will separate into two tournaments after pool play is complete. The competitive tournament will include the top teams from pool play that want to compete for a monetary grand prize. The prize last year was $2,500. The other, for fun tournament, will feature all other teams in a more relaxed tournament competing for bragging rights. The dual tournament format ensures all who participate have an enjoyable experience both with their team and in raising money for children’s charities in New Mexico.

“One of my favorite parts of this event is the Longest Kick & Longest Throw Competition for Charity,” continued Kemph. “It’s just one of the ways that Louis and Drew have come up with to make this more than just kickball games. On top of these fun events, we’re expecting some of the top 10 kickball teams in the country to attend, including teams from Texas, Arizona, California, Colorado and New Mexico. It’s going to be a great weekend.”

First held in 2010, the K4TK tournament is presented by the Active 20/30 Club of Albuquerque, a group of young professionals under 40 years of age that have taken an aggressive approach toward community service, providing financial and in-kind assistance to children.

A few team spots are still available for K4TK. Think your team has what it takes to compete with the best? Visit The Kickball 4 The Kids registration page to register now. Registration closes on April 25th, 2012.
