A ground breaking partnership of 28 public sector organisations in the UK has been shortlisted for a National PPMA Award* for Best Recruitment Partnership Project after building a leading-edge shared service for e-recruitment that has saved millions of pounds of taxpayers money. The WMJobs site is powered by talent management technology from UK-based Lumesse.
According to Rebecca Davis, Head of Organisational Development at West Midlands Councils, responsible for leading the WMJobs Partnership:

Among the many benefits of the WMJobs site that have been identified are savings approaching £2 million, extensive staff redeployment rather than redundancy achieved, a substantially improved experience for candidates, and dramatically improved public perception of local authority employment in the area.

WMJobs, a partnership of 28 public sector organisations, is managed by West Midlands Councils, a member-led organisation comprising of all 33 local authorities within the West Midlands. The site continues to grow its profile and high volumes of traffic, seeing an average of 10 million ‘hits’ and over 800,000 unique visitors per month, leading to over 16,500 applications.
