TJ & Pals, the popular interactive preschool website, announced the lucky winner of their “I Love Mom” Sweepstakes. Steve Scheinebraten, an artist from Clarksburg, West Virginia, has been awarded the grand prize of an iPad 2, as well as a gift card for TJ & Pals iPad apps. The gift card will give Mr. Scheinebraten an introduction to all of the great apps developed by TJ & Pals.

Umachaka Media Inc., the company that developed TJ & Pals, has designed creative educational apps based on the characters in the TJ & Pals website. Umachaka has developed iPad apps such as TJ’s Remember, a fun memory game that can be played on three levels of difficulty with six colorful themes to choose from, TJ’s Seek & Find, an app that develops children’s pre-reading skills, and TJ’s Art Studio, the perfect app for any budding young Picasso.

As a cartoonist and character artist, Mr. Scheinebraten particularly appreciates his iPad prize, saying, “I’m looking forward to trying some of the freehand drawing apps on the iPad, as well as the apps from your awesome TJ & Pals web site.” Mr. Scheinebraten teaches both children and adults and says, “I also plan to use the iPad to familiarize my senior friends with this awesome technology. It appears more 'user friendly' than most computers. Perhaps this will inspire me to venture into a whole new technique in my cartooning workshops - I'd call the TJ & Pals' system 'Finger Painting Fun ... without the mess.' "

TJ & Pals is a preschool website that is dedicated to children ages 3-5. The website’s activities revolve around the lives of an inquisitive pencil named TJ and his group of buddies as they take kids on a journey of games, songs, videos, and stories. The concept is based on the important educational principle of “learn as you play.”

According to the creator of TJ & Pals, Ashley Lazarus, “The more fun and interactive learning is, the more effective it is. Every game, activity, How To, and story we create at TJ & Pals is based on this principle. We are happy that Steve Scheinebraten will be able to expand the horizons of his art and teaching using his new iPad and TJ & Pals educational apps.”
