How does a mother sincerely expresses great love and appreciation for her dearly departed daughter and likewise live to tell everything to her grandsons? What does it take to honor a daughter as a person and an extraordinary human being with an electrifying and infectious spirit?
In Tanya Sakinah, author Lavone A. Hasan writes about her daughter Tanya who left this world and leave behind two children, Zafir and Zahir whom her daughter loved both so much. Tanya touched so many people’s lives and they also touched hers in positive ways. Hasan was inspired to write this book as a tribute to her daughter and so that her grandsons (Zafir and Zahir) will have tangible memories about their mother and some other things they never got a chance to know.
Dedicated to Hasan’s two grandsons, Zafir and Zahir, who never got the opportunity to know their mother’s smile, personality, touch or love, except for a very short period of time in their lives as infants, Tanya Sakinah hopes to connect Hasan’s grandsons to their mother as a person who loved and adored them until her death. Tanya’s passion for her family, religion and life collectively is something Hasan is very proud of.
Furthermore, Tanya Sakinah opens the door to a reality for reader’s to see their mother as a person who will forever have that incredible love and affection for her children. In the eyes of a child, a mother should be someone like Tanya, a beautiful, loving person with loving attributes of kindness, hard work, and spiritual strengths.
