Dredge Brokers LLC announces the availability through our agency of a unique 1,750-tonne (1,929 imperial ton) floating sheer leg crane. The crane portion was built in 2009 by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Co. Ltd. (ZPMC) in Shanghai, China, and the barge portion was built by U.S. Barge LLC, in Portland, Oregon, USA. Class and notation is ABS A1 Barge.
The crane features a boom skidding system that allows the boom to be stowed in an almost flat position, and the A-frame is collapsible and incorporates sea transport braces. This allows the vessel to be transported without disassembly either by towing or on a heavy lift ship, and be erected quickly upon arrival to the job site. This feature also allows the vessel to pass under bridges to access work sites that would be impossible for most floating cranes without expensive disassembly and reassembly.
The barge features an 8-point mooring system for fine position control, in addition to a four spud anchoring system. Power is provided by three 601 kW (806 hp) generators, and a 91 kW (122 hp) auxiliary generator. There are two 875-tonne (964-ton) hooks with a lift height of 75 m (246-feet) above the deck, a 120-tonne (132-ton) auxiliary hoist with a lift height of 92 m (302-feet) above the deck, and a 10-tonne (11-ton) whip hoist.
