Procura Home Care Software announces that Scott Herrmann, Director of Mobile Solutions, will be embarking on a speaking tour across North America in 2012. The topic, “Wireless Technology and Social Media in Home Care” is top of mind to most agencies as they seek to reduce costs, establish accountability and increase efficiency among their work force. Procura, which launched Procura Mobile in fall 2011 and will launch the Android platform (spring 2012) is hoping to bring knowledge on the advantages of mobile point of care (POC) solutions and Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) to the home care market place. Scott’s message delves into all the benefits of mobile POC applications.

“When Scott joined the Procura team, we knew that he was one of the few individuals who carried a uniquely high level of expertise of mobile technology not only in the home care market, but in the health care market overall,” states Warren Brown, President of Procura.

Scott’s initial event was at the British Columbia Health Information Management Professionals Society (BCHIMPS) Spring Forum 2012 hosted by COACH: Canada’s Health Informatics Association and BCHIMPS. Don Newsham, CEO of COACH said that, “The enthusiasm of the session attendees and the positive feedback provided by his engaging presentation on “Wireless Home Care Services and Social Media” contributed greatly to the day’s success”. The event was held in Vancouver.

Current 2012 speaking engagements include:

  •     April 25-27, 2012 – Missouri Alliance for Home Care 2012 Annual Conference and Exhibition
  •     May 16-18, 2012 – Minnesota Home Care Association 42nd Annual Meeting
  •     May 24, 2012 – Ontario Home Care Association Annual General Meeting and Symposium
  •     July 22-26, 2012 – Home Care Association of Florida Annual Conference

Procura will also be presenting a poster at eHealth 2012 in Vancouver, BC (May 27-30, 2012) on mobile technology in home care. Concurrent to these events, Scott is writing articles on EVV and mobile technology for Canadian Healthcare Technology Magazine and the Home Care Technology Report. Scott has previously written for Caring Magazine. Procura welcomes any interest from other parties who would appreciate having Scott provide insight into mobile technology in home care.

Prior to joining Procura, Scott spent time working and learning at some of America’s largest and most respected corporations. From working with public safety, where he is still an active member, to eliminating paper processes for Fortune 500 corporations, Scott’s focus is to help his clients achieve their goals. He now brings his 25 years of application sales, marketing and mobile technology experience to the Procura team, where he focuses on Procura’s home health POC solutions. As a pioneer in the mobility world, Scott has an in-depth understanding of what customers need from a mobile solution and how to effectively deploy it.
