Cellist returns from playing two concerts in Salzburg, Austria and will be performing in Newbury Park, CA in order to raise funds to travel to Miracle House Children’s Home in Kenya.

Timothy Beccue

"I'm really excited to work on the film team because it's a great way I can use my gift of photography for God's glory," said Timothy.

Timothy Beccue, a student performer and Oaks Christian Online School sophomore, is a cellist with the Junior Chamber Music Los Angeles (JCM) and recently played at the Mozarteum Conservatory in Salzburg Austria. Thirty-seven students ranging in age from 12 – 19 years of age auditioned and earned the honor of playing at the fundraising event that benefited mentally disabled youth; all three branches of JCM (Orange County, LA and Conejo Valley) sent students on the trip. Timothy traveled with his family, visited friends and toured many areas of interest in Austria and Germany including Mozart’s birthplace and the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial site.

Timothy traveled with his long-time friend and violinist, Evan De Long, who will also be performing with him in an upcoming concert in Newbury Park, CA. The duo will be performing Bach, Haydn and other composers at 7:30 pm at the Living Oaks Community Church on Sunday, April 29th. Although admission is free, the event will help raise funds for participating with different organizations that the two are part of, and donations are welcome. Timothy is raising funds to help pay for a trip to Miracle House Children’s Home in Kenya. He visited Miracle House the year before as his family took an educational and mission focused trip around the world. For the trip this coming June, however, Timothy is as part of a film team that will be documenting Miracle House’s mission of providing food and shelter to young people with broken homes. Timothy is serious about his photography skills, and the goal of this film is to raise a million dollars towards the building of a new Miracle House base camp in Kenya. Also, this year, Timothy will be travelling with his fourteen year-old sister as well as the team to the Children’s Home. "I'm really excited to work on the film team because it's a great way I can use my gift of photography for God's glory," said Timothy.

Timothy will complete his sophomore year as a full-time, Oaks Christian Online School student. The main campus of Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, CA opened in the fall of 2000 and Oaks Christian Online School (OCO) opened for full-time, online students in the fall of 2011.
