Sekas Homes receives recognition by Town of Vienna Green Homes Initiative for their energy efficient custom home construction

On Monday, April 16th, Sekas Homes was recognized by the Town of Vienna, Community Enhancement Commission, and the Town Council as a custom home builder that has adopted and implemented a green design program customized to promote exceptional energy efficiency, improved air quality, and conservation of resources in the homes they build.

“We are excited and honored to be part of the Town of Vienna’s Community Enhancement Commission Project to promote energy efficient homes,” said Bryan Deege, Vice President of Sekas Homes. “We have always strived to go above and beyond to make our homes both beautiful and functional. In today’s market, functional also means energy efficient and sustainable.”

Builders and architects are recognized with the Vienna Green Homes Certificate when they adopt an independent energy efficiency program or they incorporate innovative technologies such as geothermal heating and cooling, solar heat collectors, and grid-connected photovoltaic panels or shingles into their construction or remodeling services.

Deege went on to say, “All our homes are ENERGY STAR certified by an independent inspector and have additional enhancements to keep our homeowners both comfortable throughout the year and pleasantly surprised at their low utility bills. Our new homes use less energy than older homes half their size.”

Sekas Homes has been building luxury custom homes in Northern Virginia for decades, and this isn’t the first time the company has been recognized for its excellence in the home building industry. Sekas Homes received the2011 Gala Award of Merit for their Newbury Model, the 2005 Monument Award for their One of a Kind Custom Home “The Yorkshire,” and the 2002 Monument Award for their Customized Single-Family Home “The Covington.”
