CROWELL, Texas (PRWEB) April 25, 2012
“The eyes are the window to the soul.” This is the theme that drives Staring Blue Eyes, a poetry anthology written by award-winning author-poet Daryl Ross Halencak. In an attempt to find what lies into the creative, intelligent spirit deep within him and to discover his true essence.
The author shares, “This collection is a result of my quest and it is dedicated to those who helped me find myself – the self that may have been misplaced, or maybe the self that I never openly discovered. I am confident that my writing will be of assistance to each person who is looking for a life full of “something else” on this existential journey.”
In this quest to find himself, Halencak surveyed the past. He was aroused by the present potential and inspired by the future. He invites readers to join the STARING BLUE EYES TRIBE, regardless of eye color. The “blue eyes” are a metaphor of something much more meaningful than pigmentation. The eyes are used as an entry point to crawl into the window of one’s soul.
Earl Griffin, author of the THE ESCADARA, had this to say about Daryl Ross Halencak’s collection of prose poetry, STARING BLUE EYES, “…compelling, inquiring, but also disturbing, at times devastating… to reach so very deep within the psyche exposes this poet not only to superficial criticism but to serious questioning…how fine a thing to do, how brave, how unrestrained…you will know the poet of these poems and you will feel his heart of heart…”
Staring Blue Eyes will be featured at the 2012 Pennsylvania School Library Association Book Exhibit in Hershey, Pa. on April 12-14, 2012.
