Resort reveals a new, vibrant mountain experience with guestrooms, Sierra Café and Conference Center featuring a contemporary “Grand Lodge” look

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino is pleased to announce the resort’s completion of a $20 million renovation of its guestrooms, Sierra Café and the Spa Terrace Conference Center. Boasting an unrivaled location in the Sierras with iconic lake and mountain views, the resort transformation now offers an unmatched Tahoe experience with the complete redesign of the property’s 422 guestrooms and suites, not including the 24 North Shore lakefront cottages, as well as a completely new look for the resort’s approachable all-day dining restaurant, Sierra Café, and the Spa Terrace Conference Center. Inspired by the lake and the Sierras, renowned CCS Architecture, with offices in New York City and San Francisco, created a truly unique mountain respite at Lake Tahoe that genuinely captures the region’s pristine natural beauty.

“This renovation marks a new and exciting era for the resort,” remarked Fred Findlen, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino. “We want to set the bar in terms of what travelers can expect from a Tahoe experience and our newly renovated resort reflects this commitment to perfecting our customer experience.”

Introducing New Guestrooms: A Contemporary “Grand Lodge” Feel
Setting the standard in Lake Tahoe, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort’s 398 guestrooms and suites completed an $18 million renovation featuring a new, contemporary and luxurious “Grand Lodge”-style look (high-resolution images of a model guestroom are available, upon request). A warm and inviting ambiance has been created with the addition of an oak floating headboard, credenzas and nightstands with touches of brushed steel and dark leather, complementing carpeting in shades of slate gray and mocha. Inside each new room, modern amenities now include a newly remodeled bathroom featuring contemporary back-lit mirrors and modern showers, “jack packs,” all-in-one multimedia hubs that easily pair the television with laptops or DVD players, and locally-themed artwork.

A Bold New Dining Setting: Sierra Café
The Lake Tahoe luxury resort’s all-day dining restaurant, Sierra Café, completed a $1.5 million redesign and renovation offering an entirely new, mountain-contemporary look. Visitors and locals now have a new way to satisfy their après-ski or swim appetites. Featuring 208-seats of indoor and outdoor dining space, guests will now enjoy inventive American cuisine with global influences in a newly redesigned setting. Contemporary oak tables and leather seating adorn the dining room space, including a new ‘Chef’s Table,’ ideal for the restaurant’s exceptional Friday buffet or an intimate private event. A large fireplace, constructed with natural stones and rich woods, acts as the focal point for the room. Outdoor dining will now offer large-scale umbrellas. An ideal respite from the day’s endless outdoor activities, the new Sierra Café will continue to offer gorgeous views of the beautiful natural scenery of the verdant forest and mountainside.

Taking Business to the Next Level: Exceptional Meeting Space
Featuring seven meeting rooms from 3,000 square feet to a high-tech boardroom with seating up to 12 people, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe’s Spa Terrace Conference Center offers a complete redesign with a $500,000 renovation. Staying true to the luxury resort’s contemporary “Grand-Lodge” look, all of the newly-appointed meeting and function areas in the Conference Center are attractively remodeled with a fresh and warm color palette, including new carpeting, wall coverings and credenzas, and enhanced audiovisual and technology capabilities, including an up-to-date sound system and drop-down screens. The space now boasts hues of rich mocha and slate gray and provides a modern and welcoming ambiance amidst the mountainous surroundings with locally-inspired works of art.

The last day of the final stage in this renovation will be May 30th 2012. For more information on about Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa & Casino, please call (775) 832-1234 or visit http://goo.gl/Tyc8M.
