Wild Apricot, creator of membership software, has launched a new guide -- Getting Started With Annual Reports – as well as an Annual Report Checklist – both designed to help organizations with the often daunting task of annual report development.

These free resources are the latest additions to Wild Apricot’s Membership Knowledge Hub, which offers member management resources, such as in-depth articles and guides designed to help small non-profits and membership-based organizations. As Dmitry Buterin, Chief Apricot, notes “we created the “Hub” and continue to provide new guides and articles to fulfill the commitment we’ve made to offer relevant, actionable information and resources to help membership organizations increase engagement and support.”

Jay Moonah, Noisy Apricot and VP of Marketing, notes “we understand that the staff or volunteers tasked with annual report development may be or a little overwhelmed or unsure where to start. So we created the Guide and Annual Report Checklist as a quick reference resource with tips and ideas to get them started.”

Getting Started With Annual Reports was developed as a starting point for the staff and/or volunteers of small non-profits, associations and other membership organizations. It offers general guidance including thoughts on: why organizations create annual reports; what to include; tips on telling stories and using visuals; thoughts on the types of formats to consider.

A companion piece, the Annual Report Checklist, was designed to help those new to annual reports get the development process rolling - with general questions to consider as you develop your annual report production plan.

The company is also publishing a 4-part Annual Report blog series through their Wild Apricot blog – which will offer additional tips, information and ideas from non-profit communications experts.
