Joint customers to benefit from reduced time to resolution, simplified product integrations and facilitated deployments

Stonesoft network security solutions combined with Q1 Labs’ Security Intelligence Platform allow organizations to efficiently protect their critical data and business systems in multi-vendor environments.

Stonesoft, an innovative provider of integrated network security and business continuity solutions, today announced that it has been certified by Q1 Labs, an IBM company and global provider of security intelligence solutions, for its Security Intelligence Partner Program (SIPP). The integration of Stonesoft solutions with IBM’s QRadar Security Intelligence Platform’s open protocols allows for more powerful correlation of security and application layer event data, thereby facilitating customer solution deployments.

The Security Intelligence Partner Program allows companies to integrate with QRadar, providing a direct feed of event, asset/vulnerability, configuration management and flow information, as well as the enablement of automated updates. Collaborative testing as part of the SIPP certification process ensures interoperability between Stonesoft’s network security solutions and the QRadar Security Intelligence Platform.

Stonesoft's product portfolio consists of the industry’s first transformable security engine as well as standalone next generation firewalls (NGFW), intrusion prevention systems (IPS) and SSL VPN products – all of which are centrally managed by Stonesoft Management Center. The logs of all Stonesoft products can be forwarded to QRadar in Log Event Enhanced Format (LEEF) format. In addition, the Stonesoft Management Center can also receive logs from LEEF compatible devices, thereby enhancing Stonesoft's third-party event management support.

“Previously, vendor collaboration across the security intelligence industry around the exchange of event information was a challenge, especially with a lack of standards. This partnership creates an engineering, support and product level connection between IBM and Stonesoft to share information and remove integration bottlenecks during customer solution deployments. Our joint customers will benefit from reduced time to resolution, simplified product integrations, and facilitated deployments,” said Matt Ward, Senior Product Manager at Q1 Labs, an IBM company.

“Stonesoft is pleased to join IBM’s Security Intelligence Partner Program. We are committed to providing our customers with increased visibility and situational awareness. Stonesoft network security solutions combined with QRadar Security Intelligence Platform allow organizations to efficiently protect their critical data and business systems in multi-vendor environments", said Tero Jantunen, SMC Product Manager at Stonesoft.
