InStyle Generated 100 Thousand Visits with its Facebook Campaign for the Colombian Film “Lecciones Para Un Beso” (Lessons for a Kiss)

The successful marketing campaign increased their fans on the social networking site by 71% and helped their online rentals jump by 1,500.

The Colombian production house Talleres Uchawi, chose InStyle Digital Marketing to spearhead the premiere and promote the romantic comedy “Lecciones Para Un Beso” via Facebook. It is the first Latin American film to use the social networking site Facebook for its release and rental. InStyle, a company with extensive experience in the digital entertainment industry with over 10 years of work and 200 projects under their belt developed a comprehensive campaign strategy on Facebook launched over a series of several phases. Currently, the official site of “Lecciones Para Un Beso” has 279 thousand fans of which 115 thousand (71%) were added during the promotional campaign developed by InStyle Digital Marketing.

For the worldwide release of the film, guests were asked to virtually “attend” the screening for free if they registered as fans through a unique Facebook page designed specifically for this event (http://on.fb.me/xFIH1x). This page also included the film trailer, which served as a preview for the users. As a result, the page received 34,000 visits and the trailer was viewed over 100 thousand times with over 3,200 fans registering. In addition to the fans that attended the release by invitation, 1,500 users rented “Lecciones Para Un Beso” on the day it was released.    

For their Valentine’s Day month campaign they launched the application “Beso Secreto” (Secret Kiss) (http://on.fb.me/besosecreto) to complement the online rental experience that added 7,100 users and 6,400 new contacts to the database. In order for users to leave their comments about the film, Facebook created another application called “Ahora es tu turno, déjà tu leccion” (“Your turn now, include your lesson”) where fans were invited to leave their “reviews” and participate via video conference with the cast. Each step of the Facebook promotion was combined with additional support via YouTube, Twitter and an extensive media outreach where fans could view the film trailer and follow special promo links to the Facebook movie rental page. A massive campaign of Facebook ads was used through which they earned 20,563 “Likes” on their fan page.
