San Jose, CA (PRWEB) April 26, 2012
The Fairmont San Jose, in partnership with Team Motion to Dismiss Cancer, is excited to announce its first Zumba-thon on Saturday May 12, 2012 to raise money for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s 2012 Man of the Year campaign for San Francisco candidate Roger Royse. Hundreds of Zumba enthusiasts will participate in a Zumba session led by instructor Rachel Dewald from 1:00 pm to 4 pm in the Circle of Palms Plaza, downtown San Jose (across from the Fairmont Hotel). The event is also co-sponsored by Images by Gracie, 98.1 Kiss and the Royse Foundation.
This event is part of an ongoing series of fundraisers for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s annual Man/Woman of the Year campaign. Over the next 10 weeks, candidates across the San Francisco Bay area will be raising funds for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) in honor of the 2012 Boy and Girl of the Year, Alec Simas and Emme Webb, who were both diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at a very young age. Candidate Roger Royse participates as a nominee for the LLS San Francisco 2012 Man of the Year.
LLS’s mission is to not only cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, but also improve the quality of life for patients and their families at all stages of treatment. Alec and Emme's lives, as well as the lives of millions of other children throughout the country, depend on these dedicated fundraising efforts. Roger Royse has committed to raise money to fund programs that further the progress of cancer therapy research and to promote awareness.
