Other Mortgage Companies’ Failures Bring New Opportunities to 47-Year-Strong Local Mortgage Banker

Guardian Mortgage, a boutique local lender that is flourishing in this market environment, today announced that it has made new strategic hires and promoted one of its top loan officers, Marcus McCue, to the position of Senior Vice President.

“The flight of talent from financial companies and mortgage lenders in the area has given us access to a rich pool of experience,” said Mrs. Marcia Phillips, CEO, Guardian Mortgage Company. “In the past year we’ve hired more than 10 new loan originators and support staff, and anticipate future hires in 2012 as we find more good people. We invested in expanding our offices in Plano and Richardson last year, as well as new technologies to increase operational efficiency. We are poised for continued growth in 2012 and 2013.”

The promotion of Marcus McCue to Senior Vice President allows Guardian Mortgage to better share and grow its best practices and processes internally. The top performer in the company for many years, McCue will now formally help his fellow loan officers achieve his level of success.

Beyond working personally with the company’s loan officers, McCue will be involved in hiring new loan officers and will oversee the company’s public relations and marketing efforts.

“Marcus McCue epitomizes the service, processes and loan origination practices that we provide our customers at Guardian Mortgage,” said Phillips. “With his new role in the company, our current and new loan officers will have more time with him to learn and grow their customer base.”

New hires Nina Brinkley and Sean Dinwiddie joined Guardian Mortgage Company in April as loan officers. Each brings strong financial and people skills. Dinwiddie was a national finance manager at the nation’s largest credit card processing company, Certified Payment Processing prior to joining Guardian. Brinkley brings years of private and investment bank experience working for such companies as ABN AMRO Investment Services and First Private to Guardian’s customers.

“Because we service our own loans, our relationships with our borrowers last decades. At Guardian Mortgage, we are very particular that our loan officers are financially sophisticated and customer-oriented. They work hard to educate our borrowers about their options and make sure they get the best mortgage for their situation,” said Marcus McCue, Senior Vice President, Guardian Mortgage Company.

Nina Brinkley and Sean Dinwiddie impressed us with their attention to detail, their strong reputations for satisfied customers and their financial backgrounds.”
