The British Grand Prix is a couple of weeks before the Olympics begin and a month after the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee – right in the middle of what’s going to be a really exciting year for us.

Steve Clark, Director of Experience Mad, has unveiled a series of improvements to his company’s website ahead of what he believes will be a “great summer for British sport – and tourism.”

“With many of our activities taking place outdoors, summer is always a busy time of year for us,” said Steve. “This year, with the Olympics taking place and British Grand Prix stars Hamilton and Button riding high in the winners’ table, we’re already seeing increased bookings and visitors to our site. The improvements that we’ve made are making it easier for them to find exactly what they want and compare a range of similar experiences. We’re getting really good feedback.”

Among the changes to the site are a list (updated daily) of the company’s 50 most popular experiences, improved navigation and a range of search options, including the option to search by location.

“The British Grand Prix is a couple of weeks before the Olympics begin and a month after the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee – right in the middle of what’s going to be a really exciting year,” said Steve. “The recent controversy surrounding the Bahrain Grand Prix gave F1 an unprecedented level of coverage, and I think that we have seen that reflected in sales of driving experiences, which are popular year-round. Of course, the upcoming auction of a collection of rare Ferraris in Monaco next month is causing a little buzz among car lovers too. “

None of the cars going under the hammer at the RM Actions biennial event in Monaco being likely to break the record for the most expensive Ferrari ever to be sold (set in February this year when a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO sold it for an eye-watering £20.2m), but Ferrari fan Steve is nonetheless a bit excited – and he’s discounting many driving experiences so other enthusiasts can share the love.

“Of course, not everyone can afford a Ferrari. My company exists to bring special or exciting experiences to people and it should come as no surprise that supercar driving days are among our most popular gifts and experiences. I decided to do some special offers on a whole host of our driving experiences. As a massive F1 fan and a classic car lover, I wanted to give other people a chance to fulfil their dreams, burn some rubber or just enjoy a different kind of day out.”

“Among the cars being auctioned are the Formula 1 car raced by Michael Schumacher in his 2000 Formula 1 World Championship victory and a rare 1957 Ferrari 625 TRC Spider, one of only two ever made. They are incredible cars, feats of engineering that offer unrivalled excitement, and I would urge anyone who doubts their status as kings of the supercars to try a Ferrari driving experience! Just visit our new website to find out about all our offers and locations.”
