Cartel extends our global presence further with the ability to deliver mobile video technologies in Canada

Applied Global Technologies (AGT), the leading managed services and Unified Communications technology provider for interactive and mobile video conferencing solutions, and Cartel Communications Systems, Canada’s leading provider of industrial wireless communications solutions, announce a partnership to provide the Canadian marketplace with the highest level of interoperability between tablets, smartphones, laptops, and High Definition video conferencing systems using AGT’s ENCORE UC Video platform and FATHOM HD.

Cartel will broaden its comprehensive line of quality communications solutions with ENCORE – a Unified Communications video platform that attaches to existing Cisco and Polycom MCUs, and FATHOM HD – the only comprehensive IP video testing, certification and live call quality monitoring tool in the market.

“Following recent partnership agreements that strengthen our presence in Europe and Asia, our agreement with Cartel extends our global presence further with the ability to deliver mobile video technologies in Canada,” states Bob Wood, executive vice president of global sales & marketing at AGT. “Finding an experienced and respected partner is critical for us to have success in a strong, diverse Canadian marketplace.”

Interoperability between tablets, smartphones, laptops, and HD video conferencing systems is secured by the inclusion of ENCORE’s Mobile Pathway Protocol, a universal standard developed by AGT that leverages already open and secure standard web ports to enable communication. Once a device is enabled with Mobile Pathway, it can easily and securely connect with HD video conferencing systems without requiring any special firewall traversal devices or configuration from IT.

In addition, Cartel plans to add FATHOM HD to its lineup. FATHOM HD stands alone as the most advanced HD video testing and monitoring tool in the market. Deployed as the only independent HD video testing and monitoring tool that connects to an enterprise network, FATHOM HD provides accurate video quality measurements without the need for a complex integration or upgrade to your existing video and network infrastructure.

“Our Clients expect the best from us, including products and services that are capable of meeting the rigors of the most demanding professional applications. Seldom, in well over twenty years in this business have I seen a product line that delivers a technology so completely. What I see behind Applied Global Technologies’ offering is an organization that ‘Gets it,’” explains Dave Sanche, president and CEO of Cartel Communication Systems. “We are excited to be a partner of AGT and we are committed to bridging their success with that of our Clients in the Canadian market.”

AGT’s formalized partner program is multi-tiered to accommodate a diverse range of partners and addresses levels and commitments for product/technical support, training, lead generation, marketing support and discount structures.
