KOOL PAK°, LLC announced today that the company has achieved Trusted Carrier status from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). The newly earned status places KOOL PAK° among the top 15% of the “best” carriers in Oregon participating in the state’s Green Light weigh station clearance program.
For customers, this means less highway scale stops and less risk of load delay during the transport segment of the cold chain, thereby ensuring greater load safety and faster delivery.
“We’re thrilled,“ said KOOL PAK° Safety Director Nicole Hollamon, CDS, “because it’s just one more reason customers can trust their load and their brand’s reputation are safe in the hands of KOOL PAK°.”
The Trusted Carrier designation is earned only by carriers who pass a comprehensive review of compliance with registration, tax, and safety requirements. Trusted Carriers must also equip their trucks with on-board transponders that allow the trucks to bypass weigh stations. Once the designation has been awarded, all trucks are issued new license plates that display the designation and act as a visual cue, telling motor carrier enforcement personnel that the carrier need not be subject to random safety inspections.
