On Tuesday, May 1, 2012, Professional Development Leader, School Improvement Network, will release a new Common Core resource—a webinar titled “Building Mastery of Common Core Learning Targets,” part 2 of a series of webinars that will help educators implement the Common Core. The webinar will be held twice in the same day, first at 12 p.m. time(EDT), and then again at 3 p.m. (EDT). Registration is free.
“Building Mastery of Common Core Learning Targets” will pick up where the previous webinar in the series left off. This Common Core resource will dive deeper into implementing Common Core Standards within the classroom, and describe the way to achieve successful implementation through thoughtful instructional design based on best practices.
The “quality learning targets” in the previous webinar will be revisited to master the development of each component: The Big Rock Concept, Concept Pattern, Content Understanding, Process Skill, and the Essential Question.
This Common Core resource will offer practical, specific, cross grade-level examples and with specific implementation tips for student success.
