Altoon Partners has announced that Leslie Young, LEED AP, has rejoined the practice as Director of Strategic Development. “The partners are especially pleased that Leslie has returned to assume this pivotal new position in the firm,” said Ronald A. Altoon, FAIA, founding design partner. “With the continuing success of the practice in China, opportunities across Europe and the rebound of the domestic market, we recognized that we needed a professional who could help assess the global opportunities and challenges of the firm and support the partners with an integrated client development program. Leslie brings diversified experience, intelligence, a positive attitude and a fresh perspective.”
“The timing could not have been better for my return to Altoon Partners in this new role,” said Young. “We are already at work on several important initiatives, including the current rebranding of the firm and the upcoming move of our Downtown Los Angeles office, which will make a positive impact on the positioning of the firm. At the same time, as the practice continues to grow in the U.S. and internationally, demanding more of the partners’ time, I will be here to bring a strategic overview to the development program.”
Young is returning to the firm, where she worked from 1997 to 2003, after spending the intervening years working with other practices in a number of roles including marketing and project management. A graduate of the University of Southern California, where she received her Bachelor of Architecture, Young is an active member of the professional community. She is an associate member of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Los Angeles Chapter and the California Council (AIACC), having assumed in leadership roles in both.
