Our premise has always been to bring a stylish, yet simple cruiser bike to market by incorporating the best available components at an approachable price.
New York, NY (PRWEB) April 26, 2012
City Bike company Brooklyn Cruiser has added a new three-speed bicycle to its product line-up, the company announced today. The company plans to debut the new model at The New Amsterdam Bicycle Show on April 28 and 29 at Skylight Soho in Manhattan. In addition to the three-speed internal hub, the new models include a preconditioned leather saddle and grips, double wall rims, alloy handlebars and stem, and the women’s model now includes a rear carrier.
Building on the success of their initial model, the company decided to introduce the new line of commuter bikes after customer feedback suggested that an additional gear would be beneficial for those cities with varied terrains. Brooklyn Cruiser will continue to offer bicycles that are highly edited with only the most practical features and remains dedicated to keeping the bike buying process simple for its customers. Brooklyn Cruiser’s new three speed bikes will continue to offer the same function, comfort and style elements including:
- Function – three speed internal Sturmey Archer hub; front and rear fenders; rear carriers; coaster and hand brakes
- Comfort – pre-conditioned Gyes genuine leather ergonomic grips and dual coil leather saddle; upright riding position with swept back alloy handlebars
- Style – Brooklyn Cruiser’s signature double top tube; cream colored tires; men’s bikes available in black, ivory and tangerine and women’s bikes available in black, ivory, tangerine and Columbia blue.
Brooklyn Cruiser’s initial launch was inspired by urban dwellers riding dutch bikes abroad where bicycle commuting is a cultural norm. The founders worked with Brooklyn designers to create a prototype of an urban bike that simplified bike maintenance with a renewed emphasis on affordability and style. With each new model of bike that Brooklyn Cruiser brings to the market, the company keeps this inspiration in mind combined with the feedback and wishes of its customers.
“Our premise has always been to bring a stylish, yet simple cruiser bike to market by incorporating the best available components at an approachable price. This approach hasn’t changed,” said founder Ryan Patrick Zagata. “Additionally, we’re expanding our retail presence with bikes now available in New York, LA, Chicago, The Hamptons, South Carolina, and Greenwich, CT.”
Established in 2011, Brooklyn Cruiser mirrors the same iconic qualities of Brooklyn itself - accessibility, durability, and original style. The new three-speed edition of Brooklyn Cruiser will retail for $549. Bikes can be found at select retail locations across the country or can be purchased online at http://www.brooklyncruiser.com. Bikes are shipped 90 percent assembled, but Brooklyn Cruiser recommends a mechanic test the bike for safety before riding.
