Mira Vista Golf & Country Club will be the proud host of the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) tournament April 27-29. Nearly 100 of the nation’s top junior golfers will compete in the preseason tournament taking place for the first time at one of the most scenic golf courses in the entire San Francisco Bay Area, which has only recently re-opened after an extensive restoration project.
The tournament practice round will be held Friday, April 27, while tournament rounds will be played Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29. Tournament tee times will begin at 8:00 a.m. and continue through 10:00 a.m. Guests are welcome to attend and admission is free.
Mira Vista recently invested in a multi-million dollar course restoration program which was just completed this past November. The course was originally designed by architect Robert Hunter in 1920, with extensive contributions from Willie Watson whose work also includes The Olympic Club, host of the 2012 US Open.
Mira Vista is becoming known as one of the Bay Area’s most attractive membership values. The Bay Area golfing community has been jumping at the variety of new membership options that were rolled out in conjunction with the new golf course re-opening, and for a limited time, are very attractively priced. In addition to the traditional equity membership categories, Mira Vista is also offering specialized memberships for golfers under the age of 45, single golfers of all ages, and group memberships which offer special incentives for groups of friends or colleagues that wish to join together.
Mira Vista Golf & Country Club is located in the North Berkeley Hills, just 20 minutes from downtown San Francisco and 15 minutes from Marin County. The fully appointed 30,000 square foot clubhouse and newly constructed Vista Deck boasts one of the best panoramic views in the entire Bay Area, with 180 degree views of downtown San Francisco, the Bay Bridge and Mount Tamalpais.
