Mobile Device Optimization Services from Microsearch Saves Users Time and Bandwidth.

Tablets, laptops, and PDAs can now more efficiently access long documents with a new hosted service from Microsearch Corporation. Clients save time and bandwidth while searching and retrieving long documents on their mobile devices.

"Busy online searchers are going to save a lot of time, and money, with our new service," says Microsearch CEO Chuck Kelly. "We do a lot of things to save time and money for our clients, including automatically breaking long documents into manageable chunks for faster, cheaper download. The user sets preferences, and then downloads only as many pages as needed."

Just like Google's new Drive service, or Dropbox’s service, or other big public online storage and access services, Microsearch hosts client documents on secure servers and operates in the clouds.
Unlike Google and the others, Microsearch is a full service provider of document management services, and provides a number of features that make document retrieval both faster and more precise. For instance, Microsearch

         1. Provides mobile device optimization features that users can control
         2. Accepts paper documents
         3. Indexes every document for full text search
         4. Creates a Table of Contents that lists every document - even millions of them
         5. Adds metadata to documents to make advanced search more precise and efficient
         6. Hosts the documents in a secure web portal with extensive user reporting
         7. Provides an online utility to add IDs for new users to enable reporting

“Search is free with us”, Kelly continues. “Users get unlimited searches, and unlimited downloads with no fee – except their own mobile carrier’s fee for bandwidth, which is why we added the optimization features anyway - to minimize those carrier fees that seem to be going up.”

Microsearch has been providing document management services since 1996 to its clients - generally organizations that want to make thousands of pages available to authenticated users. Clients include libraries, federal agencies, state agencies, associations, and research organizations.

Document owners can sell access to their documents using Microsearch services, or can simply make their documents available to anyone to whom they choose to give a user ID to access their web portal.
