JAZD-CAP, LLC has developed a new product designed to address a critical aspect of the patient experience; sleep disturbance, all the while ensuring that the nurses’ needs are met.

Now the roommate does not need to be disturbed by the overhead lights

"A strategy to promote sleep requires significant modifications in lighting practices. During the nighttime, light should be dimmed in the entire unit."

It is not just about patient survival and healing anymore; it is also about the patient experience. The Right Light® visor not only enhances the patient’s experience and creates a more restful environment, it allows the nurse to work safely and hands-free without turning on the bright overhead lights.

"I was using a small flashlight at night and it was incredibly awkward as it was necessary for me to place the flashlight in my mouth. The Right Light® allowed me to have light without any awkwardness," said Heather M. Kwedder, a registered nurse at Lake West Hospital.

After years of research and countless conversations with both nurses and support staff, JAZD-CAP learned that The Right Light® not only provided a solution to sleep deprivation in medical facilities, but it also helped improve morale among late night staff by helping them provide a better relationship with sleeping patients. Andrea Pierce, Vice President of JAZD-CAP, LLC says, “hospital administrators and their nursing staff want to make certain that their patients are not disturbed unnecessarily by light during their hospital stay. With The Right Light® the patients can get the much needed rest they deserve.”

The Right Light® with its unique patented design is new to the healthcare industry, but JAZD-CAP is quickly making a name for itself, “We attended the ARN (Association of Rehabilitation Nurses) and the NAHQ (National Association of Healthcare Quality) trade shows last September and October in Las Vegas and we were blown away by the response from both nurses and administrators,” says Pierce. “Our mission is to ensure that all caregivers working these late night shifts have access to The Right Light®, and beginning now through the end of May we will be offering free shipping in celebration of 'Nurses Week' this upcoming May.”
