Dropsa has engaged TVision Technology to implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV for their UK operation. The two Surrey-based companies will work together to implement Dynamics NAV for stock management, sales order processing and finance management requirements.
Dropsa is a leading manufacturer and supplier of centralised lubrication system and components for machinery, system and plant. Founded in1946 in Milan, Italy, Dropsa has a track record of quality and innovation, producing products that have shaped the industry over the last 60 years.
The Milan factory implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV several years ago to manage the manufacture and distribution processes. A strategy to standardise the global offices on a single platform is now leading to the implementation of Dynamics NAV in the UK and German distribution offices which will be followed by other offices throughout the world.
“Dynamics NAV is perfect for Dropsa as it enables us to standardise core processes whilst having the flexibility to meet the local requirements,” explains Simon Divisi, MD of Dropsa UK. “Initially stock catalogue management and data for consolidated reporting are key areas for standardisation but with more and more global activity; we are also looking at how consolidating customer information across the group can help improve our service levels.”
TVision was selected as NAV specialists who not only understand the product but have also worked on similar projects where understanding the balance between both group needs and local requirements is crucial.
“We were impressed with TVision’s experience in implementing Dynamics NAV in distribution environments,” continues DIvisi. “We are keen to leverage new warehousing and stock management technology and so needed a partner who had the understanding and the vision of how NAV can integrate with these solutions. Their specialist logistics consultant gave us that confidence.”
Due to go-live in the summer, Dropsa was also pleased that the project timing means they can take advantage of the Microsoft “Give me Five” licence promotion. “We were always going to invest in NAV, it’s nice that the timing means we enjoy a great saving on the licence cost.” added Divisi.
Richard Thompson, MD of TVision Technology, “We are always happy to welcome new clients. Dropsa has the benefit of the implementation experience in Milan and so have clear and sensible expectations of how and where NAV will deliver benefit to the business. We’re looking forward to a successful project and long future partnership.”
