Boston, MA (PRWEB) April 27, 2012
VFA, Inc., the leading provider of end-to-end solutions for facilities capital planning and asset management, today announced it will be hosting VFA Connections from April 29 to May 1 at the Seaport Boston Hotel. The eighth annual conference brings together VFA customers from the corporate, education, government and healthcare sectors across North America to share insights and trends, discuss product directions, and participate in interactive workshops and roundtables.
The keynote will be presented by Kathy Roper, associate professor, Georgia Institute of Technology, and chair, International Facility Management Association. Professor Roper will discuss trends in facilities management and implications for strategic facilities capital planning.
Panel discussions will focus on identifying and managing risks posed by facility condition, making informed decisions about project prioritization and capital budget allocation, and the challenges of historic buildings.
Moderated roundtables will examine the following topics: understanding and managing risk, total cost of ownership, strategies that ensure data is relevant and accurate for decision-making, and future directions for facility capital planning. Case studies from a variety of VFA’s leading clients will cover real-world challenges and solutions.
“We look forward to welcoming many of our valued customers to our annual conference, VFA Connections. It promises to be a great mix of networking and learning,” said Jerry Kokos, president and CEO, VFA, Inc. “Our speakers and attendees are coming from public schools, universities, cities, corporations, hospitals, and all levels of government to discuss trends and share best practices in facilities capital planning and management.”
