CDPHP Named One of the Best Companies to Work for in New York

“The hard work and dedication of our employees is the foundation of the quality and service we provide as a local, physician-guided, not-for-profit health plan,” said John D. Bennett, MD, president and CEO, CDPHP.

For the fourth year in a row, CDPHP® has been named one of the Best Companies to Work for in New York. The honor was formally celebrated at an awards dinner in Albany this week, where CDPHP was among the state’s top 24 large employers to be recognized.

The award, which is given by the New York State Society for Human Resource Management (NYS-SHRM), is based on workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems, and demographics, as well as a survey that measures employee satisfaction. According to NYS-SHRM, organizations recognized with this award are an example that happy employees make for good business and drive the economy.

“CDPHP is proud to be recognized for the fourth consecutive year as one of the Best Companies to Work for in New York,” said John D. Bennett, MD, president and CEO, CDPHP. “The hard work and dedication of our employees is the foundation of the quality and service we provide as a local, physician-guided, not-for-profit health plan,” added Bennett.

CDPHP currently employees nearly 1,000 individuals who enjoy comprehensive and flexible benefits including tuition reimbursement, the opportunity to participate in worksite wellness programs, local and fresh produce at its CDPHP farmers’ market, and the ability to pursue community service activities. In 2011, CDPHP had over 25 percent of its employee base participate in the CDPHP® Workforce Team Challenge road race, which is held annually in Albany.
