We are passionate about partnering with people and organizations who share God's standard and respect for animals, and have a long history of doing so

Pastor Ed Young and Fellowship Church will host a dog friendly event as part of Young’s newest teaching series “Wild.” Pet owners are encouraged to bring their canine companions to church for pet-friendly activities, ranging from grooming and training exercises to games for the congregation’s children. A main focus of the event will be pet adoptions. Organizations and agencies will be on location at all five of Fellowship Church’s campuses for attendees to have an opportunity to take home a new family member.
“We are passionate about partnering with people and organizations who share God's standard and respect for animals, and have a long history of doing so. And we’re excited to provide the opportunity for many animals to find a new home during this amazing weekend,” says Pastor Ed Young.
“Dog Days,” as the weekend is being titled, is part of an ongoing series by Pastor Ed Young called “Wild.” This teaching series, like other series by Young, uses illustrations to simplify biblical truths in ways that relate to the audience. A lion and lamb made appearances during the first weekend of the series, Easter weekend, as a visual example of the characteristics and personality of Christ. This was followed the next Saturday and Sunday by hundreds of frogs on the stage at Fellowship’s Grapevine campus. Most recently, a camel added to a talk about wealth, possessions and what the Bible teaches. What might seem to some as a circus act or an exaggerated effort of self-promotion to some is in fact a very intentional effort to reach people from all walks of live with a message of hope and love.
Ed Young and Fellowship Church regularly host events in an effort to reach out into their local community. They have become known locally and internationally for crowd-drawing appearances of international celebrities such as surfer Bethany Hamilton, and hip-hop mogul Rev Run.
Young says, “We simply take a page out of Jesus’ playbook. He constantly used illustrations, real-life examples to creatively communicate his message to his audience. What we do is use that same method to reach the people in our communities with the message of Jesus.”
Ed Young is the founding pastor of Fellowship Church in Dallas, Texas. He has written more than a dozen books, including his latest release, Sexperiment: 7 Days to Lasting Intimacy with Your Spouse. The book, written alongside wife, Lisa, has garnered a great deal of attention for its unconventional take on the importance of sex within a marriage. The new book includes practical tips for Christian married couples seeking to develop a regular, creative, and passionate intimate life.
