Superbreak Report Online Revenue Increases for May Bank Holiday 2012

Superbreak, the UK’s short breaks specialist, has reported online revenue growth in key product areas for the approaching May bank holiday weekend with its popular two night rail break packages already up +39% year-on-year. With the late 2012 May Bank Holiday moving into June to accommodate for the Queens Diamond Jubilee, the Yorkshire based tour operator is confident that it can offer its customers an even wider range of short break ideas and packaging options between the 05th and 07th May 2012.

With an increase in demand for UK based short breaks over the three days at the beginning of May, the short break tour operator has worked closely with its partners to secure additional ticket and room allocation. Its growing collection of product includes a choice of UK and overseas hotels, family theme park breaks, theatre breaks, dinner deals, spa packages and a host of travel breaks from UK rail packages to Eurostar breaks and flights abroad. Packages proving popular over the Bank Holiday weekend so far include a selection of well known attraction breaks, two night hotel and dinner deal offers and West End theatre breaks.

Sales for the bank holiday weekend are already encouraging with online revenue growth reported for the tour operators' popular two night rail breaks, which has seen a +39% year-on-year increase vs. the May Bank holiday weekend in 2011. Also, the introduction of key attractions such as the 'Warner Bros. Tour - the Making of Harry Potter' has provided an additional boost in online revenue over the bank holiday weekend this year. Added at the end of March, the Warner Bros packages combine tickets to the Warner Bros. Studio Tours with a selection of nearby hotels. As well as an increase in its attraction breaks Superbreak has reported a +22% year on year growth in the number of theatre breaks booked, with West End favourites The Lion King, Wicked and Les Miserable proving the most popular.
