Daniel Ruppar, Director of Healthcare Research at Frost & Sullivan, has joined the SCIP Austin Texas Chapter steering committee. SCIP (Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals) provides an abundance of resources and networking opportunities for anyone interested in the vital and emerging field of Competitive Intelligence.

Daniel leads the North American Healthcare analyst team providing syndicated research, customer research, and consulting services to global clients across the areas of Connected Health, Life Sciences, and Advanced Medical Technologies. Additionally he manages the global program for Frost & Sullivan on Connected Health, a critical area transforming healthcare delivery and the healthcare industry through information technology.

“We are excited about the strong and continuous growth of our Austin SCIP Chapter. CI is such an important component for businesses of all types and sizes, as well as the academic community. Daniel is a valuable addition to our steering committee and I know he will help further our success and the value we can provide,” Mike Nugent, Partner at Market Awareness stated.

“SCIP provides a great way for business intelligence professionals to interact in a professional forum, especially for the local area where this provides an opportunity to enhance skills and make new connections,” said Daniel Ruppar. “I am very pleased to join this committee and look forward to working with the chapter on continued success.”

Daniel’s work at Frost & Sullivan will also further strengthen the relationship between the firm and SCIP. In 2009 the two organizations announced a merger intended to provide SCIP the ability to maintain and grow its membership, value to members, and expand the visibility of competitive intelligence to a larger audience. “Frost & Sullivan’s large presence in the San Antonio area provides both the firm and our Chapter with a wealth of additional learning and networking opportunities. I am excited because I know that Daniel will be able to help us all really leverage those opportunities,” said Crystal Pieschel, Austin SCIP Chapter Coordinator and Sales Manager at Market Awareness.”

The Austin SCIP Chapter continues to aggressively grow and heavily encourages networking with other professionals and firms in the community across corporate functions - including sales, marketing, and strategic business intelligence - and all professionals impacted by or interested in strategic and competitive intelligence.
