PCU Community Foundation Supports 5k Walk/Run to End Brain Tumors

The PCU Community Foundation will once again provide monetary and volunteer support to the National 5k Walk/Run to End Brain Tumors at the Lake Phalen Pavilion in St. Paul on Saturday, May 19, 2012. Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m., with a 9:15 a.m. start time for walkers/runners. The cost to register is $25 for adults (18 years and older) and $15 for children (18 years and younger). Donations and sponsors are also welcome. Proceeds benefit the Musella Foundation For Brain Tumor Research & Information, Inc.

The event is dedicated to all those who have lost the battle with brain cancer, those who have been diagnosed with and are fighting a brain tumor, their family, friends and caregivers, and the researchers seeking a cure.

This is the second year the PCU Community Foundation has supported the event. Established in 2005, the PCU Community Foundation is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) serving the greater Twin Cities metro area. It operates under the guidance of a Board of Directors, which oversees its financial management, sets policies and procedures for fundraising and grant making in accordance with its by-laws and mission.
