Softlink, world-leading provider Library Management Solutions, announces the launch of the ‘Library Link’ mobile application for Android and iOS, giving borrower access to Liberty and Oliver information on the go.

Integrated with Softlink’s systems, ‘Library Link’ enables users to search for resources, place renewals, and check alert messages for holds and overdue items. The application also features a barcode / ISBN scanner to automatically retrieve resource records from the system.

Stephen Daniels, Marketing Manager for Softlink Europe explains “We already provide support for iPads and Android tablets via browsers and this is very popular with Libraries that are using our systems, ‘Library Link’ is the next step in offering extended access to the library for mobile users.”

Stephen continued, “Our current focus is to provide mobile solutions for all Libraries to enhance their service delivery. This means we are continually offering the latest technology innovations for our users.”

Softlink customers can download ‘Library Link’ for free from the iTunes App Store or Google Play. The application can then be used with Oliver / Liberty v5 Build 4 or higher with a web services API module.

The mobile app will be used by very diverse institutions and it will be exciting to see the different ways they make the most of this technology” finished Stephen.
