Washington, DC (PRWEB) April 30, 2012
Fitness & training company Fitness EFX has announced the opening of their 3rd Washington area facility, Crossfit Metro Center, at 1401 New York Avenue in Northwest Washington DC.
The company’s studios primarily use the Crossfit training method, and incorporate weightlifting, gymnastics, kettlebells, Olympic Lifting and more to their unique programs.
“Dedicated CrossFit gyms have a completely different feel and culture than franchise gyms,” said Judd Borakove of Fitness EFX. “In many gyms, members work out alone, focused inward with their headphones on, watching TV, or checking themselves in the mirror. At CrossFit gyms, you won’t see mirrors and everyone interacts and encourages each other. It’s more fun and more friendly”.
Says Borakove “Our workouts focus on core training that uses body weight and resistance, not big expensive machines. The only computer technology in our facilities is the MoSo software that checks in our members at the front desk and schedules the group trainings.”
Crossfit Metro Center is the 3rd Washington D.C. area location for Fitness EFX, the team behind Crossfit Bethesda and Crossfit Extreme Fitness in Rockville. More locations are scheduled to open this year. The EFX facilities are not franchises of CrossFit, Inc. but rather licensed affiliates of the CrossFit method. Each CrossFit gym has a unique offering and approach to the experience they provide around the proven CrossFit method.
