LI Advantage Payroll Debuts a New Website in Response to NYS Wage Theft Prevention Act

The WTPA was passed in 2011 and provides enhanced protection to workers in NY State. The updated law requires employers to give a written notice to each new hire and all employees by February 1st of each year.

Advantage recently rolled out an “Enhanced New Hire Service” which helps clients comply with the WTPA mandate through access to a password protected online portal that provides a template to fill out and save in PDF form. The website saves clients valuable time in preparing forms and helps with record keeping requirements. The website grants access to all seven forms provided by NYS and allows clients to use the website for every new hire and/or any necessary changes.
