Are you looking for a wine not sold anywhere else in Washington's Walla Walla Wine Valley? Look no further during Spring Release at Castillo De Feliciana. Albariño is here!
Albariño or Alvarinho is a variety of white wine grape grown in Galicia (northwest Spain), Monção and Melgaço (northwest Portugal), where it is used to make varietal white wines. Albariño wines are particularly suited to seafood due to their bracing acidity. This makes a perfect reason to release Castillo De Feliciana's Albariño with a Paella dinner made by celebrity guest Chef Isaac Rivera from the Spanish Table Seattle Washington.
Castillo De Feliciana will be the only winery in the Walla Walla Valley to have an Albariño this year. It is expected to sell quickly as the buzz around the wine is growing fast. Also available at the winery is a chance to taste their other varietals such as Castillo De Feliciana's Malbec, Tempranillo, Adentro, Pinot Grigio, Miercoles and a high-end Bolsa Negro.
Castillo De Feliciana is a family business, owned by Dr. Samuel Castillo and his wife Deborah. Their passion for their wines run deep, just ask their wine-making son Christopher Castillo. Their daughter Kara Castillo handles sales and operates their brand new tasting room on the west side near Seattle Washington.
The new tasting room is located in Snohomish Washington. The Vineyard and tasting room in Milton-Freewater is a statement to their Spanish heritage, operated by Katie Regnier, this property comes with all the Spanish accompaniments, complete with a red tiled roof and white stucco exterior. Stop by and say hello to winemakers Chad Honsinger and Christopher while you're there.
Close your eyes; take a sip and day dream yourself away to Spain. This is truly a winery worth the visit during Spring Release.
