The Circle of Care Burn Foundation (“COCBF”) (http://www.circleofcareburnfoundation.org), announced today its 9th annual Dreams on Canvas event, to be held on Saturday, May 5th (Cinco de Mayo), at the Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village. The celebration, in which guests will have an opportunity to purchase artwork from a variety of distinguished contemporary and traditional painters and sculptors, will also mark the presentation of the A. Richard Grossman Founders Award. This designation is itself a tribute to the leadership and philanthropy of Dr. Grossman, who continues to enrich the lives of burn survivors and their families with his work on behalf of the community. Throughout the course of the festivities, attendees will have a chance to participate in a live and silent auction, sample music from Mariachi Elegancia and meet dignitaries, celebrities and other public figures.
Linda David, CEO stated, “Dreams on Canvas is a celebration of beauty and inspiration, from the works of individual artists like Susie Brown and Guillermo Bert to the good works of our fellow supporters and board members, chief among them, Dr. Richard Grossman. I want to further congratulate West Hills Hospital for its ongoing efforts to aid burn survivors, backed by world class facilities and the expertise of gifted physicians and surgeons who dedicate themselves to the arts of healing and comfort. And finally, the event further unites attendees who can relax and socialize amidst the elegance of the Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village, complemented by wonderful music and other entertainment.”
In addition, visitors to the COCBF website can view and purchase many of these artistic works, including oil paintings, watercolors, sculptures, acrylic designs, pastels and other pieces at http://www.dreamsoncanvas.org/featuredartists
Dr. Richard Grossman, Founder of COCBF and the Grossman Burn Centers said: “I look forward to the excitement of Dreams of Canvas, where I can thank the many supporters at COCBF and West Hills who make it their mission to aid burn survivors and their families. Both organizations serve a noble purpose, which brings genuine hope – and valuable medical care – to patients. This event is an occasion to reflect on our accomplishments and motivate ourselves to even greater success, a partnership that serves the community and makes healing – and recovery – a top priority.”
COCBF provides assistance to burn survivors and their families. In addition to its close ties to the renowned Grossman Burn Centers, which it supports through direct patient assistance and other programs, COCBF is expanding its programs and its reach to include all of Southern California.
