Major hometown following propels rising hip-hop duo into national spotlight with upcoming release of "LWG".

Miami is known for the exciting aroma of spicy salsa and sweet perfume that fills the air as tourists from all over the world gather to gaze into the scenic skies, walk the pristine beaches, and marvel at the sparkling coastline.

Oozing of energy, urban nightlife, bright lights, and deeply saturated hues mostly only seen in storybooks and cartoons, naturally, Miami has it's pulse on hottest in entertainment—demanding only the best of the best—and has proven to be a powerful catapult for launching some of today's most in-demand artists. Rick Ross, Flo Rida, Pitbull, Sean Kingston and Luther Campbell are just a few of the Hip-Hop mega stars who have risen from the city known for its diversity of culture and architecture, and most recently rap combo Slo V & Retro have been riding the Miami wave as well.

This Haitian and Dominican duo first gained notice within the city of Heat as the exceedingly creative "dark horse" of the streets when their first mixtape—accurately titled "Tha Underdogs"—exploded onto the scene. Followed by their collaboration with well-known Miami artist Ballgreezy on the single "My Vibe", the duo's local following quickly grew.

Slo V & Retro have been rapping and recording music together since the tape deck days. Not only do they share the same island as their homeland, they also share cultural traditions that are deep rooted from many generations. Tastemakers and fans alike voiced much appreciation for the group's ability to incorporate their unique ethnic backgrounds into their music and infuse it with the vivid Miami spirit. As Retro expresses, “This is what Miami is all about, a blend of island traditions, music and cultures."

Past the city limits, news of the duo quickly spread throughout The Sunshine State and beyond, landing them on an unexpected platform—from underdogs to industry newcomers. Slo V & Retro are currently planning the release of their latest project "LWG" along with a slew of new music videos to follow. The duo is a self-sufficient act that produces all of their own music, videos and create all of their own graphics and artwork as well (through their company 205th Music). A sea of people are highly-anticipating this upcoming release.
