Street Toyota has selected two winners of their 2012 Street Toyota Scholarship. Colby Venhaus from Dimmitt, Texas and David Sheppard from Boerne, Texas will each be receiving a $1,000 scholarship to help pay their first semester at college.

“We are really excited for these two fine young students who took the time to write an essay and submit an application to us,” Mike Good, Street Toyota General Manager said.

High school students were encouraged to write an essay about how they were going green just like Toyota and helping the environment. Street Toyota received many applications and two finalists were selected to be awarded the funds which will be deposited directly into the students college account at the school of their choice.

“We are constantly wanting to promote a better living environment,” Good said. “The essays all demonstrated exactly what our vision is all about.”

Street Toyota will hold a press conference later in May and present the students with a certificate and honor them as the recipients of this year’s Street Toyota Scholarship Award.
